My wonderful and very supportive husband sent me a link to this article today and I thought I would share it with you all.

In June, the Marine Conservation Society will launch its “plastic challenge”, asking us to give up single-use plastic for a day, a week or even the whole month. They have a great starter pack to get you going: http://mcsuk.org/plasticchallenge/

If you do it, please let me know how you get along. And if you gave up plastic at the start of the year when we did, then a big thank you as we are the early adopters for sure!

In the newspaper article she talks about missing blueberries and other soft fruits and I know what she means. I used to eat a whole punnet of them each day and now I can’t. But on the plus side, I have rediscovered watermelon. Delicious and plastic free! Turns out Fraser (our youngest) actually prefers watermelon and it is much cheaper than blueberries, so lots of other benefits as well!
